Prompt payment performance
The Department is committed to the Better Payments Practice Code, and is subject to the Late Payment of Commercial Debt Regulations 2002. Payment is regarded as late if it is made outside the agreed terms, or 30 days after receipt of a valid invoice where no terms are agreed.
To provide greater support to business, since December 2008, the Department has supported a commitment to paying valid invoices within 10 working days and it encourages it's NDPBs to meet this commitment as far as possible. As part of this process, prompt payment performance for both 10 days and 30 days is monitored on a regular basis.
The tables in the link below set out the final 10 day and 30 day Prompt Payment Performance statistics for the Department's Arms Length Bodies for the years - 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18.
