Date published: 21 October 2016

Education Minister, Peter Weir, today visited Orchard County Primary School to officially open their new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).

The Multi-Use Games Area was completed recently at a cost of over £120,000 and provides a much needed facility which will benefit pupils for many years to come.

Speaking at the School, Peter Weir said:

“I would like to thank the Board of Governors and the Principal for their kind invitation and warm welcome today to celebrate the opening of their new Multi-Use Games Area. Visiting schools is a key part of my role as Education Minister and one I greatly enjoy. It was particularly good to be here today to open the new facilities and to see, first hand, the pupils enjoying the new games area.

“I want to thank everyone involved with this project for their hard work and commitment in bringing about its completion.”
