This circular provides updated guidance to schools, including pre-schools, to reflect legislative changes in respect of parental responsibility and provides advice on the action required in respect of a person or persons who acquire parental responsibility for a pupil.Whilst this guidance is primarily aimed at school settings, there may be information in this guidance that is applicable to other educational settings.
